DIY Theatre is based in the Midwest of the United States. Our founding partners have over 20 years of experience in the design and manufacture of projection screens. We manufacture front projection screens for home theatres as well as for boardroom, classroom, exhibition, training room, and video conferencing. Virtually anywhere a projector will be used will benefit from this advanced projection screen technology.

We are very different. We are not a re-seller. We are the manufacturer. DIY Theatre® sells to dealers and professional installers but we always will sell our product direct to you. This gives us contact direct with the end customer and saves you a lot of the cost from dealer mark-ups. In the United States we ship via Fed-Ex®, UPS® and USPS® no later than the next business day. And we ship worldwide – some may be shipped from offshore inventories.

Our products were developed in the United States and perfected with assistance from our partners and friends in both Australia and Europe. We appreciate their ongoing contributions as we continue to develop new products. In this year we also want to honor our friend and colleague Kim Milliken, an icon in our industry, with a special contribution to cancer research. We maintain our commitment to the development of new projection screen products as the projector technologies themselves are changing. The traditional “big” screen manufactures have largely ignored the evolving digital projection market by continuing to offer only the old style screens and fabrics in new formats and metal cases. Our development team is dedicated to the production of state of the art projection screens and to also embrace your demands for products that are designed for digital, and laser projections. We focus our entire attention to the design and manufacture of projection screens. Sorry, we do not make carts, aluminum frames or cases, springs, motors, lecterns, easels, mirror frames or glass beads. The DVD products and projector products have made huge advances recently and they deserve a dependable surface for you to project your image.

DISCUSSION OF THE DIY THEATRE MISSION AND GOALS

The mission of DIY Theatre is to do the following:

• provide projection screen materials that are known to be the most state of the art available
• offer a projection screen that provides the end user the most flexibility for size and format
• manufacture a projection screen that can offer multiple contrast levels
• produce an optical screen surface that will reflect a broader range of the full light spectrum
• present projection screens that are significantly lower in cost than traditional screen products
• sell direct to consumers and eliminate the middle man mark-up
• where possible no taxes
• provide quantity and/or qualified discounts to professional installers
• insist on a company culture that maintains the highest of ethical standards
• allow the company and our associates to have fun and take pleasure in the ways we help our customers

It is very simple here – no hidden objectives. We developed and offer a simple business with very complex products. We produce a product with a performance that is unlike any in the traditional screen industry. We offer a polymer solution that you use to build your own screen to your exact format and size as well as the gain and contrast that is ideal for your specific situation.
